ABOUT THIS RESEARCHER

Created: 2nd June 2000
Damien Joseph Ryan

I'm a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology where I studied Computer Science, Physics, and Software Engineering. Thankfully it didn't quite kill me, but I do have a few more grey hairs than someone of my age should have. Now I work for Accelrys as a release engineer in the Materials Science group.

I've lived in a part of inner-city Dublin called the Liberties for most of my life and while I loved living in such a historical area I felt it was time to move on. In April 1999, I moved out to East Wall an area beside the Dublin Port. Like most inner-city areas it has an undeserved reputation and it a pretty nice place to live in.

Now I live in Cambridge in the UK and have grown to live small town life. It's a nice place with all the benefits of a big city but none of the horrible things.

I love all types of SF and Fantasy especially Babylon 5 and its follow up Crusade and one of my favourite authors is Harlan Ellison but I'll usually read almost anything except Mills and Boons.

More later ;-) Or you could check out my ego page

JOURNAL

This is where any Journal Entries would appear, if this Researcher had made any. Unfortunately they haven't managed to write anything, which is a shame because their Journal is where they could tell everyone what they've been up to. Is your Journal empty too? If so, this is how it'll appear to other Researchers who visit your Personal Space.
