I came here to post that I'd decided to come. I ran the idea past a couple of friends, who were horrified that I might fly across the pond to meet, and stay with, internet weirdos. So that's when I decided.
But everyone needs a roof! So I'll continue to bookmark and see what unfolds.

Coely, you could still celebrate your birthday by visiting Witty. And I'm going to try to stick to the plan. But it's going to be a bit harder, now. The good part is that Syn will be paying for part of the trip. Thank heavens he likes baseball. But I can't expect him to pay for it all.

Yep, my offer stands, Coely. I could put you & Syn up, too. Just keep in mind that mid-town Manhattan is a 2.5 hour train ride from my house. Yankee stadium is in the Bronx, probably another half hour by subway. If there are 4 of us, it probably makes more sense to drive. Figure 2 hous total by car.

me and the up town girl went to meet
the down town man he told us to follow
the yellow brick road to see the  of oz
who wanted to fly to the 
i said i'm not going all that way we would
be going round the  4 or 5 time thats a bit much
for me i would need a  before i got off the subway
and if we fly i would need  just to keep me
going. so thinking about it i won't be coming i don't like
baseball very much any way you want to watch a real sport
that your country started like us in the uk we started
most sports in the world today .try and think what sports
your country started and not copied from sport we started
your american football is a copy of how rugby and baseball
is a copy roundeds. nice talking to you .
