My dad always told me that chocolate milk came from brown cows, and that swirl ice cream came from the spotted cows. What's sad is I believed him for almost 3 years!!

This "Dad story" must be universal. My brother and I were told this, and so was my husband. When our boy was 3 or 4, we told him. Now, ours is a high IQ kid, and even at that young age he was skeptical. We told him on the way to visit Grandpa and Grandma in the country. When we got home, he ran to Grandpa and asked him where chocolate milk came from. My Dad said, "from brown cows, didn't you know that?" He thought even then, that his mom and dad, and perhaps even Grandpa might lie to him. My brother came in, and after Jim had swung him up in the air he asked Uncle, and got the same story. Then he had to believe, Uncle wouldn't lie to him! He's in his 20's and we still tease him.
