Posted Aug 23, 2002 by Miztres My parents didn't tell the myths that most kids get fed like Santa Claus, babies come from cabbage patches, but they did allow myths we picked up from others to florish. I was four or five when my mother was pregnant with my sister, so I knew that storks (whatever they were)didn't bring them, but they grew in my mummy's tummy. But, when a friend at school said the baby's get there when mum and dad kissed, they conveniently let that myth continue for sometime until they felt I was old enough to understand the truth.
If....and big if here...if there was ever a chance that I would have children I'd hope I'd tell them the truth. I want my children to trust my word and not come to question what I say to be either a myth or some silly adult lie.
