The New Inn is a travesty of what it used to be, years ago it was one of the best pubs for miles around. I called in just as the "mods" were being carried out, and nearly wept. The Queens, well, being an Ansells pub puts it out of bounds if you want a decent drink!! And Mild and Bitter,,Ye Gods,, With you all the way with regard to the Bell, superb Pedigree, served with the respect it deserves. We are told the public demand for "places" like the New Inn is growing. All I can say is..the bubble will burst, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Posted Aug 20, 2002 by KerrAvon - Regret is a part of life. But keep it a small part. The demand for cr*p like the New Inn doesn't come from drinkers tho'- it comes from people that wouldn't normally use pubs. All the breweries are doing is replacing existing customers with new ones.
I used to hate Ansells, but it sort of grows on you......
