my cakes won't rise-help!

Hello all,

Please do you have any suggestions for cakes that don't rise?

It's not the oven. I think it may have something to do with the way I fold in the flour.Any tips?

While we're on the subject of cake-how do you stop it from curdling? I've tried the flour trick but they often seem to go on the last little bit of egg!!

Could my anxiety be transmitting itself to the cake? Are they known to be sensitive? (This last is humourous irony).

Many thanks

Strudelcat

Hi Strudelcat, and welcome to h2g2!smiley

I don't know the answer to your question, but you have a much better chance of getting answers if you post your question at Askh2g2 - a place that is frequented by lots of people.
