In animals like cats, the reflections at night are because of an extra membrane, the tapetum lucidum, behind the retina, which reflects light back to the retina, so at night each bit of light gets two chances to hit the retina. People don't have one. btw, i'm in second year high school bio biggrin

Yeah, kinda cool isn't it.
I decided not to put animal eyes in this article, because I would have to put loads of info I didn't know that much about. I do humans most of the time.bigeyes

Got to say i wish i was doing 2nd year biology, at the moment i'm doing 2nd year optometry with ocular pathology, microbiology and pharmacology. It's getting confusing

Yeah great isn't it

I decided not to put it in the article because I wanted to concentrate on humans only. If i did animals I'd have to include flies eyes and lots of info that I don't know much about. I only really do humans.

Wish I was back doing 2nd year biology, doing 2nd year optometry and it's getting complicated.sadface
