Blood Upon the Grass

There is an excellent song by Scottish folk singer Ed Miller called "Blood Upon the Grass" about the murder of Victor Jara and this coup that I recommend anyone listen to or download or whatnot. If you e-mail me, I'll try to get it to you. Shananathebanana@hotmail.com

Speaking of Scotland, we shamefully played a game in the Stadium in Chile after the dictatorship had used it as a place of internment and then murder for it's political opponenents. sadface rose

That's exactly what the song was about. It's a condemnation of the team and that it went over and played. It's nice to finally read about the history of that song. I'd not really read anything to put it in context for me beforehand. I'm glad this article was written. Thanks!
