I love to roam round in a bookstore. There's a 2nd hand bookstore (called Fireside books) here (Monroe Wisconsin) where I live and it's always good to be able to spend a bit of time looking round at old friends and seeing if I can find new arrivals. No website for the store but people have visited from all over the place from what I understand. You can't beat the pleasure of reading a good book.

Where i live in Rochester Kent England , there are a few very old bookshops crammed full of old books each a gem; one claims to be the biggest secondhand bookstore in the country " Baggins Book Bazarre", a gem 3 ( or is it 4 ? ) floors or creaking shelves and floorboards; brilliant; yet another shop 20 yds along the road " The Backroom Bookstore" is a typical tiny store with floor to ceiling antique books and an antiuqe cash register in one corner on the way out with giant lever keys and a worn wooden stool sitting underneath.
Old bookshops are friendly places eh? I put a picture of that first bookshop on this site last night funnily enough, here have a look:

Pratechett, of course, says that large collections of books bend the rules of time and space. And second-hand bookshops are especially inclined to this.
He's right, you know.

You ever watch "MR Ben" when you were a kid? Funny i mentioned Mr |Ben on another thread the other day actually, but yes seconhand bookshops are a bit like that without the dressing up sometimes , eh?
Havnt seen him in a long time , maybe he's gone to Discworld, wherever that is?

I watched very little television then or now. Thunderbirds was, I think, the only show I watched as a kid. It had me jumping off tables pretending to be a rocket launching into space.

I watch very little regular tv anymore. Mostly classic movies on DVD, Old Time Radio programs and of course reading. Can't beat classic cinema, some of the old time radio programs are head and shoulders above what's on tv today as well, and of course books are always there to show you a good time as you read them.
