Delighted to see he is running for President! Obviously, he won't get in, but a vote for him is a way of saying , so i'm one of the 32,OOO or more who signed the petition, both online & in the street.
In a nicely ironic, typically French way, the petitioners planted themselves very firmly outside our local Mac Donalds.

I had read somewhere that he might, and I'm very glad to see that he has decided too. 
Even if he doesn't win, he will re-highlight some of the problems.

Indeed! I imagine that's the main reason he's doing it, stir up a nice bit of anarchistic publicity!
