Posted Jun 11, 2002 by 26199 Fascinating entry... I didn't know other cultures have often had different week lengths...
Makes sense, when you think about it
So - what are the arguments for/against a seven day week?
Hmm. I'm not sure I'd like a ten day week... a three day week sounds quite good
Hopefully we can still keep our two-day weekend
Hmm, one point for the editor... are you sure 'Mar's-day' has the apostrophe in the right place? I mean, I know it's named after the planet Mar and everything...

Posted Jul 23, 2007 by Tumsup (No, I'm Sparticus.......and so's my wife) Didn't the French Revolutionaries try a decimal week? Probably didn't catch on since no one wants to wait so long for the weekend. Vintners, brewers, distillers lobby may have had something to do with quashing this otherwise reasonable idea. Also, the French at the time had the quaint custom of chopping reasonable heads off.
