Turns out that I fell in love with a girl and was almost immediately dumped. I don't recommend the combination of sensations.

The first rush of love together with the first rush of being dumped

Yeah, I just had an odd one... both swept off our feet, and a month in he decides he needs to be relationship-less. I'm still trying to decide how best to retain my composure... Is this usually a euphamism for something wonky about me??? It was done very well, thoughtfully, articulately, sincerely. Mostly, I'm just really upset about the loss of a relationship that seemed to be going better than any other, and seemed to have more good elements in combination than any other. I'm now at a point where I'm interested in persuing a relationship to see where it goes, and not being afraid of risking getting hurt. And, since I'm a widow, very aware that life is short, and feeling like I've spent enough time un-involved. He has been a serial monogamist who "needed" a relationship till about a year ago, and only just now realized that this is what he really wants now.

...well, I suppose that the search for a sweet guy who is smart, articulate, fun, exciting, a world-class cook, responsible, has a great sense of humor, progressive and politically involved, interested in "green" technology and practice, gives good massages, is respectful and courteous, physically fit, healthy, finishes what he starts, creative, has the right amount of ambition, has good balance in his life, an incredible smile and laugh, thoughtful, appreciates "nerdy" passtimes, reads incessantly, musically talented, has a terrific work ethic, a sensible atheist, and volunteers for the causes he cares about must go on... choc
