Posted Jun 3, 2004 by Sikufanya Hi, I'm new here but in a previous life I kept little blue things in the cause of THING. As it's been a couple of years, I'm curious to know if Thing is still Thing and hasn't reverted to that unmentionable word

Well, if I understand you correctly - "Thing" would be and is still "Thing" (as in a replacement name for a day of the week which shall not be named here) so I shan't say the unmentionable word, unless of course you are thinking of a completely different "Thing"/unmentionable word, in which case I am just confused...
Got it?

Posted Jun 9, 2004 by Sikufanya You are not confused. I am not quite as mad as all that. you are a fellow THINGite and I am glad to see that it is being properly upheld. I'm afraid all my little blue things (that's things as opposed to THINGs) all deserted me. I am just left with a few large purple ones now. Unlike the blue ones, they don't go "whoop" on alternate THINGs, they just throb persistently. As it is THING tomorrow I will have another hard day trying to get them to throb in sync. Wish me luck!

You might possibly give some thought to some slightly largish medium sized chartreuse things that go "wubba, wubba, wubba".

Posted Jun 9, 2004 by Sikufanya I don't miss the whoop all that much to be honest. I think they all moved to the US. Every time you see an American chatshow you seem to hear something similar. Maybe you have different ideas being female and a high priestess, but I think Chartreuse is just a little too poncy for me. I'm thinking more along the lines of Vermillion but "Wubba wubba wubba" sounds good. I could get them to impersonate Chinnok helicopters at children's parties and make back all the cost. And If I steal one small child from each party, I won't have to worry about the food bill. Oops did I type that out loud? Actually, they will live quite happily on old newpapers. When I get some, I will call one of them Russell.
Thankyou for your suggestion.

*whispers "shhh!!! I think I hear one now!" whispers*

Posted Jun 11, 2004 by Sikufanya I know what you mean. As they are very small and bitty, a vacuum cleaner normally does the trick. This is top class toot we're talking by the way, do you do that sort of thing often?
