Text of Daily Telegraph article?
Posted Aug 29, 2003 by AlexxKay
A friend of mine is doing some research into Victorian pornography. Do you know any way to get the text of the 1857 Daily Telegraph article that (apparently) inspired the OPA? Also, you mention that there were 57 porn shops on Holywell Street in 1834. What's the source of this figure?

Text of Daily Telegraph article?

I wrote to the Daily Telegraph to see if I could get permission to quote it, but I didn't get a reply.

I got the details of Holywell Street in my research, but I'd rather not just give it away. I put a lot of work into this entry. I'm sure your friend will find it in his own research.
