I seem to have got myself a little stuck on this article. Most of what I want is in there (barring finding certain quotes, which seem to elude me), but it's a mess. Suggestions on tidying up, or content...or in fact anything?

Hi Doreiwolf,
What a great topic for a guide entry!
At the risk of sounding like a bit of an anorak, the Blackadder reference to "wibble" (or something similar) is from somewhere in series two (with Queen Elizabeth). Blackadder says that standing on something and shouting it at passers-by is the height of fashion somewhere or other. Perhaps you need a more confirmed anorak than me!

I've done a bit of research on the Blackadder connnection, and it looks like wibble was in the last episode of Blackadder goes forth, although it might be a misquote (bibble rather than wibble). The quote apparently is blackadder saying how to get out of the army on the grounds of insanity, and apparently goes:
"Put your underpants on your head,
a pencil up each nostril,
and go "bibble" at passers-by"
Someelse thinks it is wibble, and went:
"*sticks a pair of underpants on his head, sticks two pencil's up his nose and say's 'Wibble'* "

This has reviews of the DVD of Blackadder goes forth. The last review on the page gives a brief description of each episode, and mentions 'wibble'.

Also, there is someone's home page, who uses wibble as an online name, who things the Blackadder goes fourth reference is bibble, not wibble, and gives the 1st quote I gave above.

Thank you for doing all that work. It's really appreciated. When i've got a few spare moments I'll check out those pages, and perhaps see if anyone hs the DVD. If worst comes to worst I might be able to borrow it from the local Video Hire place
