Posted Jul 28, 2002 by The Mole Thanks to the fantastic web archive I've managed to locate the geographical map of the tube from the original site I referenced (which seemed to close down for no apparant reason.

Posted Jul 29, 2002 by The Mole PS this real geographical tube map
http://www.goingunderground.net/geog.gif
came about to avoid common wasts of time like travelling from Bank Station to Mansion House getting the Central Line train to Liverpool Street, changing to the Circle Line and going another five stops to Mansion House and then getting out 200 yards down the street from you started. Plus the more common thing of getting on at Covent Garden or Piccadilly Circus and travelling one stop to Leicester Square - when it's quicker to walk.

Posted Jan 4, 2004 by SinceEBCDIC You both seem to be referring to pre-1933 London Underground Transport maps, a complete TEXTUAL listing of which appears here

I have one of these old maps hanging on my wall; I'll post a pointer to it as requested.
