 Posted Feb 10, 2002 by The Mole Yes. The theatre was demolished in 1905 to make way for the new station. I suppose I said "used to be" as Aldwych itself in no longer an actively used underground station - probably not great English on my part and if my editor could correct it I'd be most grateful.

 Posted Apr 8, 2005 by Neil the Indefinite King's College London appears to be built (partially) on top of Aldwych station. It took me a year studying there to notice! It suddenly struck me when I was looking at the college from over the strand near Bush House. It has the odd red walls and STRAND STATION in big letters.
