I feel ashamed that it has taked me from the age of 11 till the age of 39 to come out as a lesbian, I could have had a happier life. I do not know how to start please tell me.

Looks like you have taken the first step by coming out to someone. From here on just enjoy being you and your friends and relatives will accept you as you. Now you are out you can life a live without being worried about people finding out accidently.
So all I can say now is have fun. And don't be surprised if some people find out before you tell them.
