Shame on Norwich council for their action in 2001. They certainly cannot be considered as being suitable for joining 'Friends Of The Mirth'

yes, not a very green idea, especially for the sake of a few bruised heads (though it does get dangerous when the kids get bored of throwing sticks and decide to borrow dad's air rifle).
as an alternative they could have employed volunteers to patrol the conker hot-spots, conker coppers.
