Onions for pickling
Post: 1
Posted Jul 14, 2008 by lewless38
Hello everyone, I have only just started growing vegetables and I have put in some red skinned pickling onions and wonder of wonders they have grown well. Now I want to know about pickling them. I have read through the articles and conversations, very useful by the way, but do I have to dry the onions before I use them? I have only ever used shop bought before. Help!!

There is no need to dry the onions. They will dry out a certain amount when immersed in the brine water. Just strain and pat them well after removing them from the brine.
