Posted Dec 4, 2001 by Tube - the being being back for the time being Lately the Prelinger Archives went onto the internet, there you can download US propaganda material from around 1940 to 1965. (Nowadays) Silly things about what to do in case of a nuclear attack (Duck and Cover), and that it is save to leave the shelter 10 minutes after the expolision because there is hardly any rediation left. but it tells you a lot about that time.
The Aussies might want to read up on "First and Final War: A Basic Information Manual on Nuclear War." (in two editions) Editor and principal author DG Blair, Oxford University Press, Melbourne (1986) [AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL GRAVITATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE PUBLICATIONS]. Which tells the story of some WA residents who survive the A-Bonb attack plus it tells you which parts of WA are (probably) targetted.
