Apparently, in the dim and distant days of my youth when I lived in Papua New Guinea, my Mother was in formed by a former cannibal that fingers and toes were the best. A bit like pig's trotters.
(Or have I misunderstood what you meant by finger food? The story is true by the way, honest)

I can confirm that, it showed up when I did the research for the cannibalism entry. Only somewhere in the SubEd/Italics chain this point was taken out of the edited version...

But surely your confirmation of the facts now indicates it's a valid entry. Even under the different definition of finger food this remark is still true. What's wrong with a few fingers to go with the sausages? Though on the subject of cannibalism the origin of the sausages could be worrying.
