Reminds me of ..

.. the first time I experienced the effects of CCTV spying. One night I was wandering around Newcastle, wondering what to do after I'd missed the last Metro home.

Suddenly a horde of police vehicles swooped into the area around Grey's Monument and started searching passersby, including myself. When enquiring as to what had happened they said there'd been some people scratching their tags into the glass of a shop window.

Looking upwards, I noticed a city CCTV camera pointing directly at the scratched window. It seems they do keep an eye on them in Newcastle, at least.

Anyway, they were quick, but not quick enough. They didn't arrest anyone at the scene, and drove off just as quickly as they had arrived.
