Nice letterboxes
Post: 1
Posted Aug 21, 2002 by Bellman
I'm an ex-paperboy (actually I'm the father of an ex-papergirl but I spent many happy evenings delivering papers for her.) One customer had a letterbox that I've never seen before or since. The slot was large and closed by two 50 mm diameter aluminium cylinders that were pressed together by a spring. The spring was soft and there were no hard edges to catch your cold, wet fingers or rip the soggy newspapers. It easily took a complete Sunday Times and gets my vote as the nicest letterbox.
