I've run across a number of horrible names in my day. This seemed like the right thread in which to share them. Among them:

Harry Beaver (so help me, he's a retired gynecologist!)
Woody Dick
Ngo Dong
Velvet Lipps (given name, not screen name, and she's no porn star)
Ima Fish
Ima Rock
Rebecca Power Dick (she should have dropped that maiden name)

I don't know how much truth there is in the story but I do know that my mothers's maiden name was Payne - not that unfortunate in itself. However, she often told of a great auntie on her father's side who was unfortunately called Fanny.
Fanny Payne, it could only happen in a more innocent time!

Dick Spring used to be Australian foreign minister even though it sounds more like a gymnastic feat.
