 Posted Sep 14, 2001 by Dr. Hell It might seem minor, but in the original version Joseph Cayetti's nationality was mentioned and was somehow dropped in this version. The good man was American. The fact of him being American is not as dismissible as it seems. Think about what was going on in America and in Europe in the 1850s - 1860s.
All other inventors' nationalities were mentioned. Why not mention Cayetti's - it does not take too much space and it's additional info.
