Posted Aug 21, 2001 by Cheerful Dragon I graduated with an MSc from the OU last year. At the graduation ceremony the Chancellor (ex-Speaker Betty Boothroyd) insisted that all graduates gave a round of applause for their families. It may have been 'our day', but she (and we) felt that our families deserved thanks for putting up with us for however long the degree took.

I start my first OU course in February...
Should I point my family in the direction of this entry now or wait until the cracks start to show?

Posted Aug 22, 2001 by mad sash New baby, two years? My smallest was 4 months old when I started my degree. My biggest was two. It was tough but I managed. My tutorials were an excuse to get out of the house.
