| Posted Nov 10, 2005 by 9 <star> Frenchbean How have I missed this little bit of vision?
I've been here for over two years (or is it three?) and never stumbled across DNA's thoughts on h2g2.
Thank goodness I did though. At a time when a lot of my hootoo pals seem to be tearing themselves into metaphorical shreds about members of the community being 'destructive' and negative, it has done me a lot of good to read and be reassured that *my* reason for being here - ie the Guide and the community that eminates from it - is is tune with Douglas's view back in 2000.
I shall go away and write Guide Entries and Journals and comment on threads feeling a whole lot happier now

I did the very same thing with the same results! I find at least once a year ,on my h2 anniversary is a good time,it helps.
I think anybody that threatens to leave for whatever reason should promise to read DNA before considering doing so! I seriously thought of suggesting just that but did not want to dip my toe into the murky waters of the lastest drowning pool.
NO WONDER you are President!

Posted Nov 10, 2005 by *abbi normal - "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein OOps sorry , I do not think you are the h2 President Sure Could be! You sound like the wise and lovely Hypatia in this post.
I will promptly die of embarrassment if FB ran for office - I did not vote inthe h2 election. I have election fatigue coming from the US. I never vote for the elected Presidents Oh yeah once - 1st Round for Clinton *leaves with tail between legs*

S'alright: I'm not Hypatia, but I didn't run for election Never been the slightest bit interested in being a politician of any hue or seriousity
All the latest shenanigans in parts of h2g2 seem to have largely passed me by, except for the departure of a couple of friends. I was beginning to wonder if I was being exceptionally blind, or just not involved enough in the community. But then I decided (confirmed by DNA's words here) that I'm involved the perfect amount for me.
I can't be bothered with people who me off. Ignore them. It's simple. I wouldn't spend time with them in RL, so why do it here?

Posted Nov 10, 2005 by *abbi normal - "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein I agree and try to follow the same standard.
I ran across the fellow in question. He said something about another person. I replied with we do not do that at the Nation because we need a safe place, without added stress. Abide or leave. I also provided links about the disability he mentioned having. There was not a problem at the Nation after that. I did not notice the researcher saying much otherwise.
I take a peek all over but rarely concern myself with people who do not play well with others reguardless of their age, spelling, opinions or intelligence. Life and energy is too short! I'd rather talk to the trees
