Posted Jun 14, 2001 by Emily 'Twa Bui' Ultramarine Ahh - in England we have another variation other than the big wheels and little domes! We have these fingers of biscuit which then have several small blobs of marshmallow piped on, often with coconut added.
Actually, since this doesn't involve chocolate, it's completely irrelevant, isn't it?

Posted Jun 14, 2001 by Mr. Cogito Hello,
Not really irrelevant. It's interesting. I imagine it's up to someone to chart the taxonomy and evolution of all unhealthy snack products. I'm just doing my own little part in the great work.
Yours, Jake

Posted Jan 10, 2005 by Goodboytoronto There is a factual error in A545258 - 'Manufactured Chocolate and Marshmallow Biscuits of the World'. MoonPies were not made and sold until 1917. See www.moonpies.com for verification.
There is also an error in the related article, "Wagon Wheel Effect", the premise of which is that Wagon Wheels didn't actually get smaller. Wagon Wheels in the UK did in fact get smaller when production shifted to Llantarnam, South Wales. The size of the wheels was reduced from 79mm to 74mm.
