I have a young friend by the name of Dax. It is not a common name, therefor, where did it come from?

Hi, I have been inactive on h2g2 for a couple of years now, and I am just now getting back into it...

I don't know where the name Dax comes from, only where I have it from. It is from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, where my favorite character is named Jadzia Dax smiley

That is where I have it from, I just kindda adopted the name as a nickname for myself.
