The Professor and the Madman

Simon Winchester wrote a documentary about Murray and Minor. I enjoyed it; I recommend it to any linguistic dabbler or history/biography buff.

Winchester, Simon. _The Professor and the Madman_. HarperCollins Publishers, 1998.

Simon Winchester wrote the Book "The Surgeon of Crowthorne" about Dr James Murray and Dr WC Minor, and the OED. I would fully recommend it to anybody, except perhaps my mum smiley . This is probably the same book as mentioned by Decaf, but the non USA version.
