I liked this entry and I wish there were more entries about South America here - a part of the world about which I know rather little! I'll check out the Nazca entry.

I must admit, I knew practically nothing about the continent before I visited it a few years back. South America is a fascinating place. The local communities there have retained much of their indigenous culture, incorporating European ideas but adapting them to their own sensibilities. There is nowhere else quite like it on Earth.
