| Posted Apr 16, 2001 by Semithist 32 No offense meant, but I understood the beverely hillbillies even less. The Translations must be meant for the Brittish users. Thankfully, I get sense out of that better than a brtittish person would.

Posted Nov 22, 2001 by (TonsilRevenge) My adulthood is in remission Yes, well, the truly horrible part is that many Texans originally came from Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennesee, having been given a one way ticket. I still haven't figured out whether the smart ones stayed home or the truly intelligent ones were the ones that left! And now, with the influx of folks flooding into Texas, the decendants of the original 'get your butt on the bus' crowd are sitting around at Daughters of the Texas Republic dinners, sipping coffee, and bitching about all the 'newcomers' messing up the genteel traditions of the south....... Kind of like New York and the Knickerbockers griping about the British colonists....

I can't say I've heard many New Yorkers complaining about the British colonists ... they mostly complain about everyday tourists ... you know, the kind that walk 4 abreast on the sidewalk gaping at the buildings so you can't pass ...

That sounds just like my husband! He'd get very insulted if anyone even suggested he was a Texan just because he lived in Texas!
