In my mother's garden she gets whole coach parties of hedgehogs turning up to chow down on said gastropods. Unfortunately, they aren't the most considerate of creatures and often upend flowerpots to get at the slimy food hiding underneath, which doesn't endear them to the owner of the plants who goes out onto her patio the next day to find it looking like a bunch of hooligans have been at it.
