anyone know why easter rabbit should be described as of german origen 400 years old

It's common knowledge that Germany was the only country in the world inhabited by giant egg laying rabbits. Unfortunately, these rare spieces became extinct when the giant rabbit eating earth worms arrived from another, unknown, planet.
