Ive read all the info my little head can handle on the issue of the English Civil war.I need to be educated because I went to school from 75-85 in Middlesbrough,not much interest really and neither had the teachers,I dont think many came from the area and couldnt wait to get back to the safety of nearby Yorkshire.I find myself sitting in front of my computer a little down of late because of recent events on the tele concerning the sad death of members of the Royal family.The thoughts running through my head have led me to this site,I have to be blunt WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS COUNTRY? I see Union flags being flown by ripe ladys who will disappear from the Streets of London once everythings quiet,behind them the druggies,homeless,and recent refugees who are to say the least bemused and alienated.The government seems quiet and I am CONFUSED.I REALLY DONT KNOW WHO i STAND WITH ANYMORE. I recently left the British Army after 15 years exemplary service,my daughter was born unwell and I wanted her to grow up in Teesside and not the South of England.(HOUSE PRICES ETC)
I served in the Household Division and always had a good working association with our Officers,most of whom came straight from Eton.I and my wife were married in the Garrison Church at Windsor and lived in the town for ten years.On return to Teesside weve found it hard to resettle but weve managed,ive finally found work with the council clearing up syringes and debri from the streets and working as a concierge.What bothers me is this life in Teesside is a world away from the pomp and circumstance of behaving and dressing like a victorian.After speaking to a distraught lady last night in central Boro about when she would get her rear alley gated sickened me,she was terrified of the local kids who are wild at the moment attacking firemen etc.I am researching this site to understand and educate myself a little more on English history.In the meantime if Cromwell comes trotting around my corner line abreast, then Ill be the quickest and best to mount up,draw swords,and charge the closed gates of Buckingham Palace.

In short I feel there is something not right in the core of our nation.Maybe another Civil War required methinks.
