§hadow (U133044), has raised an interesting point here: F19585?thread=306307. Essentially one of his edited entries has been copied, word apparently for word, by another researcher, who has jazzed it up visually, but given no co-credit.

The plagiariser is html works, U219676, and he seems to make a habit of it:
Ordering coffee in France
A878196 - is Ashley's original
A883497 - is the Edited Entry
and
A988888 - has a cool number, but is html works' rehash
Vampires
A212112 - appears to be the original by Slartibardfast - U97185
A273566 - is the Edited Entry
and
A995565 - is the plagiarised copy
Visual Basic Programming
A479199 - which is at least in the Flea Market
and
A1062398 - is the plagiarised copy.
I am curious to know what other peoples' views are on the matter.

Thinks it sucks - but in a way the cudos is still with the entries that are Edited Entries.
My vote is to Vikes the lot of them.

I agree. Yikes 'em all, and put the user back on pre-mod. The guy's broken a house rule, obviously broken others in the past, and will probably break more in the future. Personally, I don't see why his account isn't banned.

The plagiarized(sp?) entry on Vampiers A995565 (yes, he has managed to misspell the title) contains a very interesting links box far down - one of the entries linked to is United friends of h2g2, created by pheloxi - but the links are referred to as 'bleow is a list of othe pages that i have done on h2g2'

Well, the Italics are subscribed to these pages, I am sure they will be on the case soon enough.
I am wary of starting a witch-hunt. It won't help the situation, and will probably make html works more defensive/agressive rather than less so.

I'd not call it a "witch hunt", I'd simply say it's stopping a thief from successfully committing a crime. He's unremorseful about it, so...::shrugs:: I hope they prosecute him to the fullest extent they're able.

Hmmmm.
I remember subbing Mad as a Hatter. 
It only appeared at the beginning of the year and was certainly not in need of any additions or rewriting!
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to sort this problem out.

Perhaps he's researching plagiarism itself for an article.  There isn't one in the EG unless you count a mention in A531820 (which curiously enough also has a tiny bit on sims - of a different kind though).

How do I know he's unremorseful? Simple. I tried talking directly to the little  'ing idjit and he let me have it with both barrels in no uncertain terms that "he couldn't care less and was going to do whatever he wanted to do on H2G2". Of course that's without all the misspelled words and bad grammar.
