Er... I'd try to answer, but I don't understand the question! Do you mean, "Why are men easier to turn on than women?" erm

Wow! There are so many answers to that question. They include:

1) Maybe it's hormones. Women who have been given testosterone for one reason or another have typically reported a higher sex drive. And men with abnormally low production of testosterone seem to have low sex drives. This hormone is present in both men and women, but most men have much higher levels of it. Maybe that explains a few things.

2) Women have a monthly cycle to contend with. This means even a woman with a relatively high sex drive will have a period of time (no pun intended) when she's less than interested. Men don't have this problem. So maybe men's relative reliability makes them seem more responsive.

3) It could be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Men are taught that all guys masturbate, that it's normal to access pornography as an adult, and that procuring sex from another person is part of what they need to do to affirm their masculinity. Women are sometimes (not always) taught that masturbation is unfeminine, that pornography is degrading, and that sex is too dangerous to enjoy except with a committed lifetime partner. What result would you expect from those kinds of signals?

4) Actually, the gender stereotype about being "turned on easier" is exaggerated and perpetuated by the media. In an atmosphere where men watch ridiculously proportioned people performing marathon sex acts and men unable to perform are frequent targets for embarrassment in comedy shows, men with lower sex drives have no incentive to speak up about it. And when women on soap operas and serial evening shows who enjoy sex and sleep serially with men are labelled "sluts" and turned into pariahs, women with high sex drives probably keep it to themselves too. This leaves the assumption unchallenged when it's less than fully true.

5) Obviously, there are enough men having trouble getting "turned on" to make Viagra a top seller. And there are enough women having multiple orgasms to make books on the subject all the rage. The truth is that individual men (and individual women) vary so much from one to another that broad generalizations don't help much in interacting with individuals. Why not stick to understanding the person you're with?

IMO (most) men are turned on visually, by looking at pictures, where as (most) women are not, we need something more than just pictures.

Pictures don't do anything for me, unless they are part of a good story, and then, as I'm not a 'vanilla' only stories about my particular fetish turn me on. smiley

You can be as cheeky as you like Opticalillusion smiley

Yes, I would assume there are loads of vanilla stories on the net, if plain and dull is what you are looking for, I did say 'I'm not a vanilla' ok

My fetish is bondage/spanking, the big clue to that is in my dungeon. biggrin I'm a 'switch' which basically means I enjoy both giving and recieving spankings.

I hope that has answered your question.

I'm not sure that's what he meant by being "cheeky!" But I must admit it's funnier the way you interpret it. ok

Hmmmm laugh your quick. I never thought of 'cheeky' that way. Oh and opticalillusion is a she. I check researchers out before replying to them. I don't want to get into any trouble by being explicit with minors. smiley

Only Spanking Foxy?

What on earth do You do with an entire dungeon. i'm almost finished writing a short that would broaden Your near Vanilla horizons?

If sjambok means anything maybe You'd like to read it, although i must point out my story isn't a signal for You to rush out grab the nearest person and play this particular scene through it is after all only a story. Sorry no pictures, the men will have to find some and i know the Ladies visualise really well!

i almost put a link here to a Professional Photographer friend who has a Fetish Art Photography website but realised i might get kicked out!

It is or would have been if I'd put it here a photograph She took of me when She wanted a long haired man to photograph in chains. When She'd finished i was still hanging naked by the wrists in chains!

This was on the day we first met, i then discovered that She was also a Pro-Domme dontpanic and that it was only the portraits She'd finished and wasn't about to miss having some fun!laugh

There's a reason to that. The drive to recover your sperm as fast as possible to go again. Just happens the quickest way to do that is by sleeping.

And hey, it's tiring work for both people, and if you have the "typical" unactive female partner.....poor man, hope you've got stamina.
