Are a great idea but DO NOT USE THEM OVER YOUR DINING TABLE
The colour spectrum of the light in energy-saving bulbs as opposed to a regular lightbulb is lacking in the reds, meaning that food, especially meat, will look grey and unappetising, making it a lot less satisfying.
The same goes for other areas where you need *people* to look their best!

I've got one in my dining room, right over the table. My food looks rubbish anyway, but I do serve my son's food on a pink plate.
My dad told me a long time ago that butchers use pink lights in their cabinets to make the meat look better. That's when there were suchthings as butcher shops of course.

It's amazing what a difference it can make, though! Next time you're driving through a tunnel, look at your hand or something - they generally use yellow light because the eye adjusts better, but the colours are almost gone!
