Posted Oct 10, 2005 by Malabarista - considering the aesthetics of variable-altitude livestock Are a great idea but DO NOT USE THEM OVER YOUR DINING TABLE
The colour spectrum of the light in energy-saving bulbs as opposed to a regular lightbulb is lacking in the reds, meaning that food, especially meat, will look grey and unappetising, making it a lot less satisfying.
The same goes for other areas where you need *people* to look their best!

Posted Oct 11, 2005 by Mina - Older on the outside, inside still 14 I've got one in my dining room, right over the table. My food looks rubbish anyway, but I do serve my son's food on a pink plate.
My dad told me a long time ago that butchers use pink lights in their cabinets to make the meat look better. That's when there were suchthings as butcher shops of course.

Next time you're driving through a tunnel, look at your hand or something - they generally use yellow light because the eye adjusts better, but the colours are almost gone!
