Posted Aug 15, 2000 by Fragilis - h2g2 Cured My Tabular Obsession I have another interesting factoid. The town's name was used in the sci-fi B-movie Barbarella starring Jane Fonda. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch was used to humerous effect as the secret word for the resistance movement on a planet governed by evil forces.

I used to teach near there - and it IS just a hilltop.
