Posted Jul 22, 2003 by Researcher 235529 I dont think NTNON has dated at all. Just swap Margeret Thatcher and Presindent Regan for Blair and Bush. The greatest sketches are still great because comedy is timeless! I agree younger veiwers may not know who Michael Foot or Ian Paisley are. But It is not aimed at younger veiwers. It was aimed at young people of the early eighties.
As a young 30 year old, I am so pleased the BBC has at last Produced a DVD of the best of NTNON (Volume 1. Available 18/8/03. About time.
I just hope they have digitally enhanced it, rather then transferring the video tape straight onto DVD, which they did with the early Blackadder DVD releases.
Crap sound, Crap picture!!!!!!
