I apologise if I'm not posting on the correct thread here but was wondering about the evictions that have taken place on our thread.

After acknowledging our good behaviour we are slightly surprised that we have lost a few of our bravest soldiers. 
Were they especially naughty today? Can things be rectified?

Hi Chris,
As we said a bit earlier on in that thread, we really can't discuss individual moderation issues on site. h2g2 is a reactively-moderated site. Sometimes there is a lag when a post is made and when it gets reported to the Mods and gets removed. The same goes for previously banned users coming back under the guise of a new name or an account. If a user is previously banned, they remain so, despite trying to get round it by opening up a new account and changing names.
We really, really don't like banning people. We want you to enjoy h2g2 and eventually help us build the Guide to Life, The Universe and Everything by writing for us, sharing your knowledge with us. We've posted many times to that thread and written individual warning emails to some of the users in the thread, and those that have been banned for repeatedly ignoring those warnings will stay banned. We don't have the time or the resources to keep banning/un-banning/banning/un-banning. That's why we issue warnings.
