Posted Oct 22, 2009 by anhaga Right, I know this isn't quite the right place for this, but I've not had much luck getting noticed on the smiley page in the past and, frankly, this one is something that I think a lot of people could really get behind:
How come there isn't one of these <poppy>?

Posted Oct 22, 2009 by The h2g2 Editors Hello there,
Not having a <poppy> smiley does not mean we are indifferent to Rememberance Day! Far from it. I can add it to the list, but it won't get done any time soon. Maybe we can mark that week by having a Rememberance Day Talking Point?

Posted Nov 8, 2009 by Websailor Please Eds, there is a year before the next occasion. Surely that is time enough to conjure one up.
It seems to me to be something of an insult that such an important symbol of Remembrance is forgotten.

Have you checked out this week's front page? Or the Quote of the Day last week? We have certainly not forgotten Remembrance Day and absolutely no insult is to be inferred from the fact that we don't have a poppy smiley.

Posted 5 Weeks Ago by Websailor No I haven't as yet. I wasn't suggesting anyone had forgotten Remembrance Day, it just seemed an awful shame that those who wanted to couldn't mark it in their posts.
Didn't mean to offend Just felt strongly about it.
