we are a family living in eastern Europe (english is not our native language ) and because of the comunist regime, we couldnt read nothing like this, because was out of question to find books like Sven Hassel's ones on the market at that time. Any way, Sven Hassel series showed up around 1993 here and has been sold out like cakes. Even now, we are still reading them and manny war literature lovers are looking for them.
Sven Hassel, is a great writer, a great man who deserves our respect for everything he suffered in those terible years; he helped us understand much more what a rubbish was that war, and helps all the people to understand that war is something that should be avoided at any costs.
