| Posted Jun 18, 2004 by marder3 Hello anyone who wants to read this! If you are reading this you probably have some sort of interest in the author.Im just writing to ask anyone, who has read all of his 14 books i think it is, to recommend some sort of order to read them in! i have already read "wheels of terror" "ss general" and "court martial" and im halfway through "monte cassino".I just find it annoying that one moment they are fighting nkvd on the Russian front and the next, they are in "sunny" Italy!!!I would appreciate a reply on this matter, thanks for your time, c ya!

Posted Jun 24, 2004 by Cycovision Hi there,
I've read all 14 Sven Hasel novels (several times!) and can honestly say that there really is no particular order to them. I don't think that Sven tried to write them as a series of novels, each book is a story in it's own right and is not meant to lead on to the next.
I suppose a 'good' order would be to read the ones set on the Russian front first, eg. wheels of terror, blitzfreeze, OGPU prison etc.
The only other suggestion I would make to anyone is that they read Legion of The Dammned last, but I won't reveal why so as not to spoil the story!!
