Who knew the history of the condom was so complex? I'm very impressed. smiley

However, if anyone mentions a roaring trade in washed, second-hand condoms to me again, I will surely be ill. :-p

Thanks Fragilis - glad you liked the entry. It was definitely a lot of fun to research...

Though probably not as much fun as the entry I also wrote on Durex Comdoms - it's currently with the Sub-editors (I think) and the original version is at http://www.h2g2.com/A330553

Hope you like it! smiley

When Knights were bold
And Johnny's weren't invented,
They wrapped there socks
Around there cocks
And babies were prevented!

In days of old
When knights were bold
But lube not yet invented
A girl'd put glue
Inside her flue
And friendships were cemented.
