Posted Jul 4, 2000 by Pipey Among the number of compilation albums (largely released by IRS to get some money out of the band's rising global godhood) is one absolute howler. 'Dead Letter Office' is a collection of B-sides and unreleased studio tracks that includes a truly atrocious version of 'King of the Road' which alone is worth the price of admission.

Posted Jul 4, 2000 by Underground Caroline I agree, hysterical. Weren't they drunk when they did it? They sound drunk anyway. Especially since they don't seem to know the words and just keep repeating the same bit over and over.
Hurrah for random b-sides and Velvet Underground covers!
