SINCE THE RELEASE OF NIRVANA (GREATEST HITS) AND THE SUBSEQUENT GRUNGE RE-REVOLUTION, I HAVE COME ACROSS MANY CRITICISMS OF NOT JUST THE BAND AND THEIR MUSIC BUT ALSO OF COBAIN HIMSELF. SOME HAVE DONE WELL TO JUSTIFY THEIR CHEAP SHOTS AT WHAT IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE MOST INFLUENTIAL BAND SINCE THE WHO! THERE ARE, I CONCEDE, STRONG ARGUMENTS THAT GO IN FAVOUR OF BANDS SUCH AS THE PIXIES AND MUDHONEYS, BUT , AND CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG, WERE THESE BANDS EVER AS BIG AS NIRVANA? I AM NOT TRYING TO PUT THEM DOWN AS I HAVE HEARD THEIR MUSIC AND QUITE ENJOY IT BUT ALL THEY WERE WERE MENTIONS IN INTERVIEWS WITH KURT!
THE WORST ARGUMENT I SAW WAS 'COBAIN V'S GROHL'. AND AS I PROCEEDED TO SEE THAT ARGUMENT WAS QUICKLY RESOLVED!

WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS CAN PEOPLE NOT JUST LISTEN TO WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN ESTABLISHED AS A GREAT AND UNFORGETTABLE BAND WITHOUT GETTING ON THEIR HIGH-HORSE AND THUS FORCING ME TO MOUNT MINE!

"Were these Bands Ever as big As Nirvana?" or summit like that. I dont think you can measure the quality of a band by how "big" it was / is. not saying that nirvana are bad tho.
