Posted Jul 16, 2000 by Huw B Fox is an unusual name. Anyone know why this was chosen for this character?
Surely, it couldn't be because he is curious, sly and mistrusting...?

Posted Aug 30, 2000 by Oolon Flux I think it was chosen because he's such a "fox"! (As in sexy!)

Posted Oct 12, 2000 by The Bad Kind of Puppy I suppose it could be a nod to the Network that make The X Files.

Posted Dec 31, 2000 by spooky17 Fox William Mulder... If I remember correctly from one of Chris Carter's earlier interviews, the name Fox was borrowed from Mr.Carter's childhood friend and the surname Mulder, is the maiden name (or was it middle name?) of Mr. Cater's mum.
