musicalnote ...he wears a disguise, don't look too deep into those angel eyes...musicalnote

Wow, this shuffle mode brings up songs I didn't know I had on my iPod bigeyes

Lentilla, that game you linked to looks nice and yes, I played the demo - but I spend too much time playing games as it is... *sits on hands*

Warmer today, so hopefully no sleet like yesterday - but grey, grey, grey. Makes *me* feel grey.

Ben, you really do have the mind of a 14 year old boy, don't you? biggrin hug

I was cold earlier, then hot, and I felt warm. I haven't been able to find my thermometer, so I stopped by the store on the way home from class to pick up a new one, and it doesn't work. Sorta defeats the purpose, yeah? Hmmm.

The construction of Skyview is proceeding - no matter how expensive the tickets will be I *will* grab the opportunity to go to the top of Globen in Stockholm in February next year (click on the picture to see a bigger version):

He he, Ben.

>I spend a goodly proportion of each day clearing up the detritus of mealtimes and would kill for this task to belong to someone else
We have a dog smiley

Actually, we have a command for him called "hoover!" ("Støvsug!" in Danish) that means "come and eat this stuff we just dropped on the floor right here". Basically, having that means that we can also better tell him off if he goes for anything dropped without having had the command.

Busy run

Thick grey cloud here in the big city. When I was out in the sticks at home it wasn't as bad. Oh well at least I'm going to get paid to be here at work.

When I pour nyself a whisky at the end of the evening I give the dog an ice cube but the bitch, being more of a hunter, likes me to throw hers to her in the dining room. Last night the projection of my throw managed to hit the lamp shade which shattered, glass all over the floor, not good for pads. So a loud, SIT, STAY had remarkable results as both of them froze in front of Mrs WA while I cleaned up the glass.

Hendrix the dog is in the vets having his tennisball 's removed so now I am indoors waiting . He has been lively and happy all week so I am fairly confident he should be ok , but he is an old dog at 14 so it is still a worry .

One of my favourite Gary Larsen, Far Side cartoons shows a dog leaning out of a car window talking to his doggy mate. "Ha, ha, ha Biff. Guess what? After we go to the drugstore and the post office I'm going to the vet's to get tutored."

Have to share this one with you - one of my Danish but originally English speaking colleagues is still in hysterics down the corridor after having seen it...

On our intranet (Sharepoint, btw), we have a wee application for booking the booth meeting room for a tradeshow coming up in two weeks. The booking is done in half hour intervals but you can only book one at a time. And then, the explanation goes:

"If you want to book the meeting room for more than half an hour, you will have to book additional time sluts."

Oooops! rofl blush We just agreed that we've heard of hotels renting rooms by the hour - but in the name of efficiency, we're apparently down to half hours. And nobody knows who said time s***s are, either tongueout .

The danger of writing in foreign languages... It's been corrected, btw.

Morning, all. It's a grey, deeply dreary morning here in Nodnol. The weather is so boring I find it worth remarking on.

Sympathies to Santra's damaged family. Little run of bad luck, there. Hopefully, over.

Immersion blenders are marvellous. I use mine for 'mending' custard too. But, alas, not for stirring custard or bechamel in the first place. I tried that once and found to my vast irritation that flour and milk is extremely hard to get off the ceiling.

Best wishes to Hendrix dog .

I sniggered happily at Ben's story (and what did 'Emily' say/do?) and at Santra's, because I too have the mind of a 14-year-old boy (I keep it in a pickle-jar under the bed).

Am still working on knitting a THING for Sol. No idea what the THING is for or how it will work, but I promise to incorporate an orange button.

Fortunately Emily was 200 miles away and it wasn't a conference call. smiley

Santra - do your company need any SharePoint Peeps? I know of a half a dozen or so going spare.

PPS - I always think Bad Skum sounds like what you find in the bath after a particularly muddy time, not something you put into the bath to make you nice and scenty.

Hmm yes, the next problem is where to find a new lampshade, problem being that it is one of a cluster of three and there are two clusters.
